I’m Jamie. There’s a very good chance I’m drinking tea and hanging out with my dog right now.

For the last twenty-five years, my identity has been rooted in being a mom. Now in my nearly-empty-nester years, I’m beginning to explore what I want this new chapter of life to look like, and that includes this new blog.**

Here at the sandy rose, I’ll be sharing about DIY projects, new creative pursuits I’m trying, and the ongoing process of bringing cottage style to our sturdy little 1960’s cinderblock home, inside and out. I’ll talk books because I’m always reading, and about coastal living because I’m still getting a kick out of it ten years after moving here from metro Atlanta.
